17th C Black walnut Italian trunk with carved family crest. Very long 71", which fits exactly at the end of a king size bed or behind a sofa. Originally in the T Square Club Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Label inside says O E Mertz and Co. Antiques and works of Art.
This trunk has all the wear and tear you would expect from age, the original patina has old repairs and signs of use.
