The peaceful lakeside scene and the mat colors and texture of this original post card print caught my eye. The print is of the lake, "Loch Lomond" in the Scottish Highlands. The postcard is by Raphael Tuck & Sons who have a varied history starting in the late 19th century in England spanning over multiple continents. It is uniquely matted with a cerulean blue mat with a textured woven grasscloth strip running vertical behind the print. Mat and print are surrounded by an antique bamboo etched wood frame in honey toned finish, gently hammered together with nails. If you are a collector of vintage postcards then this framed treasure would look great in your home.
One of my favorite countries to visit is Scotland, so, if you're like me, I hope you'll make this classic Scottish scene a "keeper" in your home.
