A black wrought iron screen with a variety of partitioned animals. Designed and manufactured by Jean Touret with Atelier De Marolles. Made in France in the 1950s these screens are unique and each are slightly different making no 2 the same arrangement.
Jean Touret founded Atelier Marolles in 1946-47 in the village of Marolles, France with a group of craftsmen. Their collective collaboration and selective techniques, allowed them to create a new model of innovative furniture. The premise and identity of their work revolved around the notion of a minimal universe and incorporated the use of natural materials such as wood and metal.
