This tray is one of the more complicated, sought after designs. These trays were sold in high end department stores. They started in business in 1948. The trays are made of their own proprietary phenolic resin in black, and were made by a team of artists using natural materials, wood, turquoise, malachite, brass, coins etc. since it is Bakelite Simichrome is great to use as polish on these trays but any metal polish will work. All they need is a mild cleaning, nothing abrasive. It measures 9 1/2” x 12 1/2” and is in good condition. less
