"Houma's House",
by Premier Louisiana Cajun artist Allen B. Crochet.
In this treasure of an Architectural carved painting, Crochet depicts the Historic and Beautiful Lousiana, Houma's House, built in the 1840s.
Mr. Crochet was well known and acclaimed for his Lousiana artistry... his painted relief carvings of the wonderful Louisiana Landscape, people and cultures.
He created this masterpiece in solid beautiful Louisiana wood... with very detailed multidimensional layers of carvings ...as seen in the detailed photos.
The work is created from one piece of solid wood.. hand carved and masterfully hand painted.
The archtectural details,, the columns, balconies, window doorways.. attic window.... meticulously and expertly carved...the majestic Live Oak Trees, spanish moss,,, fauna, flowers. and, of course, the the people in and around the Historic home.....
gorgeously painted and all on a vintage solid piece of prime Louisiana wood.
The carving is surrounded by an elegant wood liner and beautifully framed in his own handmade naturally distressed Louisiana wood frame.
