A wonderful addition to any arms, armor and weapon display, collection, or Medieval Gothic decor, we offer this rare authentic Late Medieval Period (circa 1300-1500) European polearm two-handed battle axe (dane axe / sparth axe) probably English, Scottish or Italian. Impressive large size, forged steel head with broad blade, mounted on a long wooden haft, with beautifully aged warm rich dark patina over the whole.
If only axe's could talk... this rare historical artifact from the 14th, 15th, or early 16th century would have been a devastating weapon on the battlefield and certainly not something you would want to find yourself on the receiving end of.
