The exterior is finished with Ornate boulle inlay on all … more 19th century boulle casket-type letter box by Halstaff and Hanover. The exterior is finished with Ornate boulle inlay on all sides in gold and red. A delicate edging of brass and an escutcheon inlaid into the box boulle. When opened the interior reveals four divided compartments for letters, ink, stamps, etc. Lined in dark blue velvet fabric and gold tooled leather under lid. On the bottom of the box is a label from "Halstaff and Hanover". less
