-Domus ILMARI TAPIOVAARA rocking chair circa 1940s, a unique and interesting example of early Scandinavian modern design; possible prototype. Solid wood frame which has been painted chartreuse / lime green (not original). Bent plywood seat and padded back rest with gray vinyl upholstery; nailhead details on the back side..
-Note: This chair is not marked but was previously offered and sold by Artek 2nd Cycle.
-Approximate dimensions: 28" high, 22" wide, 29" deep overall; seat height 18" seat height (at the front edge).
-Overall good vintage condition with some wear and patina. There are scuffs and nicks on the wood parts and wear on the left runner (see photos).
