-Domus ILMARI TAPIOVAARA rocking chair circa 1940s, a unique and interesting example of early Scandinavian modern design; possible prototype. Solid wood frame which has been painted chartreuse / lime green (not original). Bent plywood seat and padded back rest with gray vinyl upholstery; nailhead details on the back side..
-Note: This chair is not marked but was previously offered and sold by Artek 2nd Cycle.

-Approximate dimensions: 28" high, 22" wide, 29" deep overall; seat height 18" seat height (at the front edge).

-Overall good vintage condition with some wear and patina. There are scuffs and nicks on the wood parts and wear on the left runner (see photos). Some nicks or small tears in the vinyl particularly along the seat edge; discoloration on the seat area; some paint marks on the vinyl. Cleaning or restoration has not been attempted by us. less
