Attributed to the Seguso Vetri d'Arte company, … more Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso purple Italian art glass geode cut bowl. Attributed to the Seguso Vetri d'Arte company, circa 1960s. A similar bowl is shown in the company photo archives, item number 12877, and is published in their book. The bowl has an outer layer of amethyst, middle layer of sapphire blue, with rich violet overlay in the top layer (Ametista - Blu - Violetto). It has a rectangular shape with rounded corners and edges. Would make for a great display on any desk, vanity or side table. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or business card holder. Made with very thick glass, and heavy for its size. For accuracy, there are pieces of ash stuck to the inside of the bowl. Mid-century era. Measures 4 7/8" long x 3 3/8" wide x 2 1/2" high.
