Reinhold Begas (1831 - 1911) was active/lived in Germany. Foundry mark is Guss H. Gladenbeck & Sohn. The figure is in the Belle Epoche style of the late 19th century. Classically a Venus with a very large bounty of hair. Beautifully formed nude in a soft demure posture. Signed to the pedestal and with the foundry marks also. The measurements are 10.5" tall and the base is 2.75" by 3". The figure alone is 8.75" tall.
