This bronze cross is from the 4th to 6th Centuries AD; likely created by lost wax casting and then further details were hand chiseled. The Byzantine Era ran from the 300s to the fall of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire in the 1450's, at which time, the area fell to the Ottoman Empire.
