A high-quality exhibition print of "Night-Shining White" (Chinese: 照夜白圖) a monochrome ink-on-paper painting by the Chinese artist Han Gan. The print is from The Douglas Dillon Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and dates back to 1977.
It is large in size and set behind glass in a protective metal frame by Island Framing Company in Honolulu, Hawaii. The original frame-makers label is located on the back. An informative plaque is also located on the backside and states: “Night-Shining White (detail). Ink on paper by Han Kan, 8th century. Chinese, Tang dynasty, 618-906. Purchase, The Dillon Fund Gift, 1977 (1977.78)”. less
