This distinctive porcelain lidded jar was designed in the 1970s by Bjorn Wiinblad for Rosenthal Studio Linie. The canister/jar, an example of the designer's Quatre Couleurs series, is beautifully embellished with handpainted details rendered in four shades of gold. The body of the canister shows a glossy white glaze with a gold motif encircling the top. The lid is decorated in gold and shows a textured geometric design around the perimeter. A beautiful, multi-use storage piece, this will make an attractive accessory in any room of your home or in your office.
Marked on the base: Rosenthal Germany, with Bjorn Wiinblad's signature and the capital letter S in gold for Studio Linie.
The jar measures 4-7/8"H x 4-1/4" Diameter. The condition is very good pre-owned, with not chips or cracks. The gold detail is in excellent condition. less
