The pieces of this set of 4 demitasse cups and saucers bear 2 different marks. The double “C” is a Copeland mark that was used from 1851-1895. The square mark with the “C” superimposed on the middle is a combined Spode and Copeland mark that was used from 1875-1890. Some of the pieces are marked with a hand-painted number. The pattern consists of pink and blue ribbon encircling each cup and the rim of each saucer. Ivy garlanding weaves through the blue and pink ribbons. The cups and saucers are fluted with gilded rims. The saucers have a slightly elevated foot.
These Spode/Copeland demitasse cups and saucers are in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
Dimensions: saucers - 3.875” diameter, .5” height
cups - 2.125” diameter, 2.75” handle to rim, 2” height less
