Fabulous 19th C. French / English carved chairs with cane seats and back and floral upholstery on arms and seat cushion.

Each is 36" tall, 18" from ground to seat bottom, 26" from ground to arm, 24" deep, 24" wide.

Cane is strong with no separations; chair frames are very sturdy.

Upholstery is down filled, clean and beautiful - a fabulous floral which leads with pinks, blues, greens on a white ground.

Carved detailing is impressive, showing some wear in places but with a crisp finish and tons of patina. Really great looking.

And not too small or too low as beautiful chairs like this often are!

Truly a beautiful pair of chairs in fine order.

This is one of the most beautiful - and charming - pairs of chairs we have owned. They are the ideal mix of beautifully detailed, character-rich, and full of pedigree and STILL substantial enough to use and enjoy. You don't have to admire these from the other side of a velvet rope! We've most recently had them in a dressing room / bedroom setting (a pet-free zone, FYI) and they pair elegantly with just about anything you throw at them. The definition of timeless classic. less
