A very fine carved and gilt Aesthetic Movement French Neoclassical-style painting frame exudes elegance with a refined and balanced design. It exhibits acanthus leaf detailing along the corners with a highlighted gilt finish. It is an exquisitely hand crafted frame from the House of Heydenryk (ex-Heydenryk collection) and was made by hand by extremely skilled artisans during the mid-late 20th Century. It exhibits a level of artistry and workmanship seldom seen in frames from the latter 20th century.
The frame could easily be fitted with a mirror, however we believe it is better suited to an early Impressionist, Ashcan School, or contemporary work of art. This frame is a work of art that exceeds most works meant for a frame and is worthy of any fine work of art.
