A jaunty three handled loving cup drinking vessel decorated with a cipher of the letters “YALE, ” a seal and a portrait head. A celebratory drinking cup, a loving cup was designed to be passed around, shared amongst a group. The dark sage green is among the more unusual colors of Wedgwood. This one bears incised marks on the bottom with an “X” date mark for 1895. Good antique condition, signs of light use: small scuffs, no chips or cracks to the body.
