Well executed Pop Art style oil on board titled Purple Ice Cream Cone by California artist, Scott Barnham. Deep rich bold black and gray background emphasizes the fun playful single ice cream cone held in a layer of neon green, turquoise and light blue lines in the center of the painting. The “ice cream” is a wonderful series of different colored purple oil brush strokes, giving a richness against the striking bold colors of neon green and tan “cone” in the lower half of the painting
Scott, a native of Kansas studied at Kansas State University before moving to California in 1969. For decades, he has been a local artist exhibiting in one man shows and community exhibitions throughout the Bay Area and Santa Cruz County.
Lovely oil on board, size 19.5” high x 18” wide, is framed in simple wooden border frame. Ready to hang. Signed “SB” upper right corner.
