This is a magical Victorian era tiger pendant with impeccable enamel work. Translucent enamel allows the textured gold to shine through, while shades of orange to brown striping and black outlines delineate the details of the tiger’s face. Two transitional cut diamonds represent the tiger’s eyes, which appear to glow, as if the tiger were coming to life. In his mouth, the tiger holds a larger diamond in his teeth. This is a very special piece that harkens back to the nostalgia of the circus.

The pendant has a rabbit bail on the back that can accommodate a variety of chains. It is seen here on our Vintage 14K Gold Segmented Collar Necklace. The pendant in unmarked but acid tests as 14k gold. All three diamonds are natural, transitional cut, G-H in color and VS1 in clarity. The diamonds in the eyes measure 2 mm; the diamond in the mouth measures 3.6 mm. In total, there is approximately .2 of a carat of diamonds.

The pendent weighs 12.75 grams. It measures approximately 1” x 1 1/8” with a depth of 1/2”.
