This Belle Époque porcelain plate, featuring a black design against a golden yellow background, portrays a courting couple. The plate is marked on the underside with the inscription: "Au Vase Etrusque 20 Bd Malesherbes Paris." Louis Damon (1860-1947), known for his discerning taste, owned this luxurious porcelain and art glass shop in Paris from 1887 to the 1920s before relocating to a different address. The plate also bears the impressed TH mark, used on blanks by Theo Haviland after 1894. Based on these two marks, the plate can be dated between 1894 and 1920. less
