This large 30-inch silverplate serving tray features an elegant etched acanthus leaves design on its oval surface, framed by beaded bands and complemented by beautiful yet sturdy beaded handles. It stands on four feet for added stability and style. The tray bears the mark of Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield silversmiths, with their initials, an associated asterisk, and is numbered 050294.
This tray is perfect for various purposes, such as serving as an open bar, showcasing decanters, serving drinks or appetizers, or displaying a tea set. It also looks fantastic (see last photo for reference) paired with an antique Elkington meat dome listed separately. It is in very good condition, devoid of any monograms or inscriptions, with only minor wear and imperfections on the plating, as depicted in the photos.
Measurements: 30" long including handles by 19 1/2" wide (76 cm by 50 cm) approximately. Weight: 9 1/2 lbs. unpacked approximately.
