Shortly after, it was granted the title of Royal Factory in recognition of its artistic and fine quality wares. Vista Alegre also manufactured pieces for Mottahedeh, a recognized leader in luxury ceramic decorative items and historic designs. They hold the license to many classic designs based on Chinese Export and early European objects and have made pieces for the White House, the State Department and Diplomatic Corps as well as several museums, retailers such as Tiffany & Co. and various high-end designers. This is a heavy and substantial piece weighing about 2.75 lbs. unpacked. In very good condition as shown.
