Grand pair of French Louis XVI giltwood dining armchairs featuring a giltwood painted aged finish with padded arms in the style of French fauteuils. The lovely frames have a gracefully curved, round back crest with an intentionally aged patina on the painted finish. The chairs have carved symmetric motifs and are upholstered with their original textured, petit point fabric that is vintage but still shows well and is very presentable. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The fabric is bordered by small brass tack nail heads. The armchairs have 6 matching side dining chairs that have been upholstered in neutral linen. These armchairs could be upholstered to match, but we love the needlepoint.
