This Keith Haring rare vintage 1990 limited edition custom framed collector's Pop Art original silkscreen print " Earthman " 1986, is an incredibly special and uniuqe piece to add to your collection. The limited edition silkscreen print is published by Special Editions Ltd., a subsidiary of Playboy Magazine, printed in 1990 in a limited edition of 1000. It features an artwork image originally created by Haring in 1986 titled " Earthman ", which ran inside the magazine in teh January 1986 issue.
This is a rare opportunity for true Keith Haring fans and collectors as this coveted image limited edition Pop Art silkscreen print is long out of print and very scarce to find. the print is hand numbered in the bottom left corner 727 / 1000.
Keith Haring ( 1958 - 1990 ) was an incredibly vibrant American artist and social activist who's artwork responded to the 1980's Street culture by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality, and war. Haring's work was often heavily political, his imagery became a widely recognized vivid and iconic visual language of The 20th Century. Haring's close friends and inspirational contemporaries included Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Madonna all of whom he collaborated with in his lifetime. Artworks by haring are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
In 1986 in recognition of Keith Haring's unique vision and inspiring talent, Playboy Enterprises commissioned the artist to create a number of works exclusively for Playboy Magazine. This limited edition commemorative work represents the best of Keith Haring and exemplifies the Haring philosophy that " Art Gains Power through Imagination, Invention, and Confrontation ".
The rare limited edition collector's framed original silkscreen print measures 26 1/4" W X 26 1/526" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modernist black metal recessed detail frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
