Exquisite matching 19th century Meissen porcelain Augustus Rex compotes (pair). Stunning design of butterflies, birds and insects. Beautifully done in vibrant color and minute detail. Over sixty-five painted birds or insects in exquisite color components. Red, blues and greens used for pheasants, peacocks, moths, butterflies, bees, beetles, swans and flamingos. Gold gilt trim and accent scrollwork present. No chips or repairs. Original hardware. Additional photos on request.
