Extraordinary and very rare brutalist bed belonging to the Barium series designed by the sculptor Luciano Frigerio and produced by the Frigerio company of the same name in Desio at the end of the 1960s.
This magnificent bed is made of solid walnut elements positioned to recall a musical score, enriched by solid brass corners and sides with original patina and unpolished.
Very rare piece and produced in very few elements as at the time it was the most expensive object in the collection, never sold at auction and the only one currently on the market, a collector's item.
The conditions are almost perfect, as shown in the photographs with some tiny signs of aging.

Luciano Frigerio, born in Desio in 1928, revolutionized the world of furniture design and production, inheriting the family tradition of fine cabinetmaking. After graduating in accounting, he developed a passion for furniture design and musical composition. In the 1960s, taking advantage of the entrepreneurial opportunities of Brianza, he transformed the family business into an international reality, collaborating with important figures such as Gio Ponti and Franco Albini.
Frigerio has realized his dream of creating furniture as unique pieces, introducing "Solid Wood Sculpture Furniture" and "Bronze Cast Sculpture Beds", combining excellent craftsmanship and fine materials. His company produced numbered and signed pieces, collaborating with renowned architects and designers. In the 70s and 90s, it opened ten showrooms in Italy.
Recognized with various honorifics, his works are exhibited in art galleries and have won prestigious awards. Permanent exhibitions in Milan bear witness to his ongoing influence on contemporary design, celebrating functionality, aesthetics and craftsmanship. This piece has an attribution mark,
