Pine and fruitwood, painted in a yellow ochre wash with red designs throughout, deep green-black flowers on the sides and doors, and Chinese building on the doors for a chinoiserie effect. Deep rust red wash inside. A slightly curved, bow front, and reticulations on the sides. The lock works with the original key. Hardware for hanging, but footed so can also stand. 30 1/2" by 19 1/2" by 6 1/2". c. 1780s. See less
