The walnut molded plywood shells and bases have been sanded and refinished but still show some minor wear such as veneer repairs, a two inch-long gouge as well as some scratches and pressure dings (all of which can be seen in the detail photos and demonstration video provided). With that said the wood is in over all very good shape and the woodgrains are absolutely stunning in natural light. The upholstery, redone in a thick black vinyl virtually identical to the original, is in showroom condition and applied in the same scheme as the original. The chair reclines and both the chair and ottoman swivel 360 degrees exactly as designed and the tilt adjustment mechanism is also 100% functional. The steel frames show only minor tarnishing. This iconic chair and ottoman set is ultra-comfortable, structurally sound and ready for decades more of use. Please view all photos and video for details on this gorgeous set's current condition.
