A slim and elegant carved beechwood commode with hoof feet, made of reclaimed antique timber throughout. Fantastic antique look and feel, very well executed in the 20th century, high quality craftsmanship, based on an 18th century original. Nice paneled drawer fronts and sides with a striking curved form, give the piece real character and presence. The top is attractively pieced in a pattern evoking French parquet flooring. Very good polished bronze hardware, likely cast from 18th century originals. Very good condition, antique wood with worming and artisanal irregularities, nice darker patination to the carving.
