This 20th century large desk from Java, Indonesia displays a two-wood decoration and a Dutch colonial style. The desk top showcases a burl wood inclusion contrasting with the other parts of the desk, made with teak wood. The top rim is lightly carved. Below, a carved and painted board is adorned with geometrical shapes painted in green and yellow, which enhance the two drawers. The middle of this board is concave for a better comfort. The substantial shape of the leg is softened by a carved ornament. Thanks to its perfect combination of Javanese tradition and Dutch colonial style, this 20th century vintage large two-wood desk would be a great almost anywhere in a home. less
