Born in Burma during the 19th century, this temple offering bowl is made of bamboo covered with black lacquer on the outside, red on the inside. Presenting a pagoda-shaped silhouette, the bowl is adorned with delicate concentric motifs, alternating with stars, flowers, swags and discreet elephants each surrounded by a polygonal frame. The bowl is topped with a carved finial, whose slender silhouette complements the ensemble beautifully.
