This Milton Avery rare vintage 1984 lithograph print large custom framed collector's museum poster " Husband and Wife " 1945, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster is published in 1984 for The Wadsworth Atheneum Art Museum Hartford Connecticut, printed by Poster originals Ltd. # 376. It features an artwork image originally created by Avery in 1945 titled " Husband and Wife ".
Milton Avery ( 1885 - 1965 ) is a non traditional American Modern painter. While clearly representational, Avery's work is seminal to American Abstract painting as it focuses on color relations and is not concerned with creating the illusion of depth. Often thought of as the American " Matisse " because of his colorful, imaginative, and poetic bold creative use of drawing and color, that set him apart from the other painters of his era. Avery's paintings are included in the collections of many of the worlds most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print lithograph print large format framed collector's poster measures 40 1/2" W X 33 1/2" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with plexiglass in a polished chrome finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light surface wear. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
