This is an outstanding example of mid century Murano art glass by one of the most famous mid century murano glass blowers/sculptors, Archimede Seguso (Italy 1909-1999). The piece depicts a slightly abstracted goose and is hand signed into the glass base "A. Seguso Murano". The piece was hand blown and sculpted while still semi-fluid. This type of acid finished glass is termed "Scavo" and is made to resemble Etruscan glass. Signed pieces by Archimede Seguso are rare and sought after by collectors.Dimensions: Apprx. 13.25"H x 9.5"W x 5"D. Excellent condition.
