Robert M Swedroe is a renowned South Florida architect that as of 1967 began exhibiting his collages in one-man shows at venues such as the Lowe-Levinson and Medici Galleries in South Florida, and the Wiener Gallery in New York - Having successfully sold hundreds of collages, the exhibitions continued through 1973, when launching his own architecture firm left him with precious little time for collage work.
His work is currently represented by the Contessa Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, and some of his collages are licensed and marketed as puzzles.
This "groovy" framed (circa late 60s or early 70s) collage came from Mr Swedroe's personal collection of his vintage series that he sold during a garage sale held at his home in the 1990s. It has a bright green matte border and the image measures 7" x 5.5"; the brushed chrome frame measures 13" x 11.875" x 1.125". less
