Flanking the two main doorways are stone street benches that run the length of the building, a typical feature of fifteenth century buildings.

The Recullai family were a wealthy Tuscan family. The building of the Palace Recullai was in response to the Palazzo Medici. The family were developing a strong bond with the Medici family. On this building one can find the symbol of three feathers, which was the symbol of the Medici family.
