The Palazzo Pesaro is a historic palace in Venice. It is in the center of the city, between the Campo San Beneto and the Rio di Ca' Michiel. It has a facade onto each, while the northern facade is on the Calle Pesaro. It was built in the Venetian Gothic Style.
The Palazzo was built in the fifteenth century by Benedetto Pesaro, a member of the prominent Pesaro family, and is one of many palaces owned by the family in Venice. Since many members of the family had died toward the end of the seventeenth century, by 1720 the palace had been divided and let out to various artists, musicians and the like.
By 1902 Mariano Fortuny had purchased the whole palace, returning it to its former glory, where he set up the famous Fortuny brand and lived there till his death in 1949.
The palace now houses the Museo Fortuny and is also called the Palazzo Fortuny.
