Elegant exquisitely handmade carved walnut French commode from the 18th century featuring a carved ripple front with shell pulls that are part of the body. The intricately carved body has two spacious drawers, with early gorgeous brass escutcheons framed with carved sunflowers; all carvings are framed in paneling. Each side is also styled with two dome panels; so well done! The back gives away its age; it has been beautifully restored at some point and the back beautifully depicts the fine hand craftsmanship.
