Offering a gorgeous hand painted "Famille Jaune" vintage Chinese porcelain ginger jar with an iron-red Qing Dynasty style symbol. The Qing dynasty ended in 1912, but sometimes these symbols were also used for later pieces. Most likely this jar dates Early to Mid-20th Century as you can see the heavy glazes, color variations and some aged crackling as seen in older pieces. These older jars were all hand painted and manufactured a lot differently than the Chinese imports from the Nixon years in the 1970s.
The new owner will be very happy about its aging condition.
EXCELLENT CONDITION........No chips, No cracks, some minor crackling to the yellow glaze commensurate with age. The top rim has some minor loss in color as seen in pics.
A great item for a mantel, console table or end table. This beautiful ginger jar can really go anywhere. Perfect for a Palm Beach Chic Decor or Boho Chic Decor that loves to incorporate antique Chinese and Chinoiserie accessories into its interior design motifs.
