The laminate tops are in very good condition and do not have any serious scratches, scuffs nor cracks. The lower one, however, does have what appears to be a water mark or stain that is only visible when the lights shines on it from certain angles. The aluminum edge banding and chrome legs do have expected wear as seen on the photos. The bottom of the leg rails do have more significant wear as would be expected from contact with flooring. less

This was the pre-world war II era when Art Deco was stripped of it's ornamentation in an effort to "streamline" the aesthetics, but was actually a representation of the austerity of the great depression. Rounded shapes were used instead of sharp angles thus giving the hard materials a visually dynamic yet smooth or soft appearance.

Though this piece does not have the original tag, it has been documented as having been manufactured by Royal Metal Mfg. Co. and attributed to Wolfgang Hoffman. less
