An antique French faience stand or trivet from the Emaux de Longwy art pottery workshop in France. The decorative ceramic platter rests on four feet and can be displayed on a tabletop or desk. The underside of the piece is marked with hand painted numbers "326" and an impressed circular Longwy mark used from 1870 onward.
The bright and bold cloisonné-style glaze features a colorful bird surrounded by foliage and flowers. The blue ground features Longwy's signature Chinese-style craquelure glaze. The sides are glazed in a contrasting cobalt blue with a textured border framing the central design. Good condition with a few scuffs on the surface and a couple of small nicks and glaze losses on the sides and edges, measuring 9.38 in. square x 1.25 in. H.
