This Small Size Trophy … Read more This Really Is a Great Looking & Very Fine Quality Antique English Sterling Silver Trophy Cup. This Small Size Trophy is Done in a Classic Two Handle Trophy Style. The Front is Engraved - Reads as Follows - JAMAICAN NORTHERN CHAMPIONSHIPS - MIXED DOUBLES - 1949.

My Brief Research Indicates that The All-Jamaica Tennis Championships or simply the Jamaica Championships was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1904 as the All-Jamaica Tournament. The tournament was organized by the Jamaica Lawn Tennis Association and played in Kingston, Jamaica. The Tournament Ran until 1968.

The Cup Itself was Made in London England. Interestingly Enough and as the 5 Assorted Documented Hallmarks can Confirm Include ( Some are Quite Worn ) - A Lion Passant Sterling Silver Mark, a Panther Head London Mark - Queen Victoria Head Profile and a "B" Date Letter that Confirms that it was Actually Made in 1877 and then Much Later in 1949 Engraved for Trophy Presentation. There is Also a Worn - Obscured Maker Mark that is illegible. It is in Very Good Condition with No Damage - No Repairs - Displays Nicely. It is Lightly Tarnished but is Sure to Polish Up Beautifully.
It has a Substantial Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 116.83 Grams - 3.756 Troy Ounces.
It Measures Overall Approx 4 inches Tall x 3 inches Long x 2 1/8 inches Wide.
