A rare Jennings Brothers find with a green polychrome paint finish, these vintage bookends would make a super gift for the literature buff or a dramatic statement on your library shelf.

Founded in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1890, the Jennings Brothers foundry was known for high-quality, hand-finished castings. The bookends are finely made with detailed, expressive faces.

This Dante and Beatrice bookend set is very rare to find with a polychrome finish. The bookends are very heavy. Each one has the Jennings Brothers "J.B." hallmark along with a casting number on the back -- 2484 on Dante and 2485 on Beatrice.
