This fabulously elevated shabby chic center table’s intentionally distressed blue green hue has been accented with soft greige, especially the intricately pierced table’s edge and carved claw and ball footed pedestal base. Hints of the original mahogany wood finish have been left intentionally revealed on two of the tabletop’s interior corners. We purchased this beauty as you see it in the photos, reimagined by the artisan to appeal to a more modern or elevated shabby chic aesthetic. The tabletop was reinforced underneath with a square piece of wood to add stability and structural integrity, as this type of pedestal table (circa 1930) historically can “go wobbly” (see photo 10). The center table, also known as an accent table or occasional table, is typically placed in the center of a room or at the focal point of a seating arrangement. The larger size and eye-catching design make it ideal for creating a visual centerpiece. Placing a center table in the middle of a spacious living room or entertainment area allows it to become a conversation piece and a gathering point for social interactions. This beauty measures 28” x 30” x 30” H/W/D; usable interior tabletop space 23” x 23” W/D; weight approximately 75 lbs. Handcrafted from solid mahogany wood that has been has been painted and distressed. This blue-green color is a subtle shade with an astonishing ability to shift as light travels over it during the course of a day. The color will act as a great backdrop to any furniture, artwork, and decor. The table is in excellent condition. Structurally it is solid.
