The Palazzo Vecchio Tower was built in Florence in 1299. It is 308 feet high . There are 233 steps that you see this man climbing in the photo. The views, after a physically demanding climb, are spectacular of Florence's historic center and iconic landmarks.
It is also known as Arnolfo's Tower after the architect Arnolfo di Cambio. It protrudes from the Palazzo Vecchio on Piazza della Signorio.
This photo has always been one of my favourites. I love the shadows and the man, trudging up those 233 steps, to see the magnificence of Florence.
This print is offered on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Paper printed in the Giclee method. less
