Kindel Furniture French Provincial Louis XV Secretary Desk with Hutch. Luxury brand made in America (Grand Rapids, MI). The upper hutch has two doors with handsome brass hardware and full length brass hinges and metal mesh lining. These two doors open to a large storage area with two adjustable shelves. The back of each shelf is marked with “Chatelaine 303-52-62” as is the rear lower desk.
The lower secretary desk upper portion has a key and lock fold out writing desk area with two interior drawers and letter storage areas. The writing desk surface is supported with nice brass hinges and two wood pull out tracks. Below the writing desk area are two doors that have handsome brass hardware and hinges. They open to another large storage area with one central shelf.
Overall, this piece is high quality, American made, and an heirloom piece.
Two substantial brass plates attach upper and lower pieces.
