Stores when they were introduced in the United States, as well as other higher end dept. stores such as Bloomingdales, Bergdoff -Goodman, Saks, and Gumps. Initially this and 2 other types of Kitchen jar/containers were sold in a trio set, along with the Michael Graves pieces which were introduced at the same time and sold along each other as compliments from one to the other. Perfect for any kitchen, for tea, coffee, grains,or other forms of use, with style, and simple, refined esthetic, easily identifiable. Maker's mark underneath states, Alessi, and below thatINOX 18/10, and lastly below this provenance country ITALY, as image indicates. From what we understand this item is no longer in production.

In great condition, no dents, "only," minor scratches to base bottom, and minute scratch or two to lidded top, otherwise great. less
