This is part of Chairish’s Fine Jewelry assortment.
Based on the construction and style of this piece, it was likely designed by Verdura for Paul Flato circa 1939. The prong set sapphires are positioned below the veins of the leaf to create a subtle body of pastel-hued gems. The leaf is made up of approximately 45 sapphires equaling approximately 11.5cts set under an 18k yellow gold framework. The breakdown of the stone colors is as follows: 1 white, 1 peach, 12 yellow, 13 blue, 12 pink and purple, 6 green.
This brooch is in very good original condition.
