Circa 1850-1875. Ebonized pier cabinet with brass inlay & gilt bronze ormolou mounts, french, napoleon iii period. Rectangular top with turreted corners above a conforming case with flanking pilasters, frieze with inlaid boulle quatrefoil decoration & embossed ormolou trim throughout, fitted with a single fabric backed brass grille inset cupboard door with mock key. Raised on squat, ormolou trimmed bun feet. Black velvet lined shelved interior.
