Up for sale is a pair of small square Chinese covered porcelain boxes for ink paste, the covers hand-painted in famille rose palette with the scene of bathing the newborn baby, the frames and sides decorated in underglaze-blue and gold with floral scroll patterns, interiors covered with turquoise-blue glaze, each bearing a Daoguang seal mark and of the period (1821-1850), Qing Dynasty, in overall good condition with no damage or restoration, minor glaze wear, stains and firing flaws
