This beautiful 14k white gold wedding band is designed to accommodate a solitaire engagement ring, with a lovely cut out shape that wraps around the base of the stone when two rings are stacked together. The ring contains 18 single cut diamonds, bead set with gorgeous milgrain work, and six larger diamonds set into trefoil shapes meant to layer with the stone of another ring. The combination creates a lace like, elegant wedding band that showcases the diamond of the engagement ring beautifully. The ring is very versatile and could also be worn alone, or stacked with an assortment of rings in various shapes and sizes.
All the stones in the ring are natural single cut diamonds. The six larger stones measure 1.75 mm; the 12 smaller stones measure 1 mm. There is a total carat weight of approximately .2 of a carat. The diamonds are SI1 in clarity and H-J in color.
The band can accommodate up to a 1.25 carat round solitaire stone, or an oval stone that is 6.5 mm wide. Because the prong setting of a traditional solitaire engagement ring lifts the stone up in the setting, the band fits underneath the stone, and can fit a slightly larger stone than the actual opening in the band itself. The space between the two trefoil elements is 5.9 mm.
The band weighs 2.5 grams. It is 1.8 mm wide. It is marked as 14k gold and contains the maker’s mark GG.
